Output Couplers (also called partial reflectors) are dielectric mirrors used in laser cavities to transmit a portion of the intracavity power. The backside surface is normally coated with an AR coating to minimize back surface reflection. Typical substrate materials for Output Couplers include ZnSe, YAG, Ge, CaF2, and FuSi.
